Wildlife and birds

Galloway is renowned for its diversity of birdlife – Barn Owls live at Glenlee and can frequently be glimpsed on summer evenings.  Many species of small bird are to be found in the glen, such as Dippers and Tree Creepers.  Red Squirrels and Roe Deer can often be seen too.

The Red Kite trail at Mossdale is well worth a visit, especially at feeding time and ospreys can be viewed at….
